Just Politics: How Republicans Plan to Rig the 2016 Elections

Do you guys remember the 2012 presidential election? How we all came out in support of President Barack Obama and successfully re-elected him for a second term? Do also remember the disastrous train wreck of Mitt Romney and the Republican Party? Well, I hope you all know that train wreck almost won the election if they would've had their way with the Electoral College, and they already have a plot in place to rig the next election when 2016 comes rolling around. Most of us won't even see it coming. But just what are they planning to do?

The "Gun Problem": Does It Truly Exist in America?

Disclaimer: This post reflects only the opinions of myself, Michael Pamon, and no one else.

Guns. Man-made weapons invented to discharge a projectile. Since their creation in the 12th century, many people have viewed guns as weapons of murder and destruction. Many also view them as cultural necessities, especially in the United States of America. The second amendment to the Constitution states that every citizen has the right to "keep and bear arms." However, there has been a disturbing rise in gun violence the last few years in this country, and it is evident that we have a major gun problem...or do we?

Does the gun problem truly exist, or is it all a part of Obama's "liberal agenda" to "get rid of the guns?"

Rappers and Athletes: Settling?

Have you ever look through your timeline on Twitter and noticed the "everybody wants to be a rapper" tweet? Yeah, so have I. While that is far from the truth, it is safe to say that a lot of black youth in today's age are trying their hand in the rap game. The same can be (sort of) said for athletics. This is nothing wrong with this at all except...this seems to be the only two careers they are trying to reach for.

What is the 'Ingenious Movement?'

Ingenious: adjective \in-'jen-yus\

1. showing or calling for intelligence, aptitude, or discernment; marked by inventive skill; creative. 2. Imaginative and resourceful; clever.

In the 236-year history of the United States of America, there has been no greater system of oppression than the one designed to work against the African American people. No greater polarity has existed more than the one that we ourselves have created. For centuries, black people have been denied even the most basic civil and political rights, access to well-paying jobs, and even an appropriate way of living. This has led to a deep divide among each other on what to do. Do we acknowledge the existence of a system of oppression (or worse, deny it), but just let it continue, go on about our business, and try to make a living however we can with whatever minimum wage jobs we can get access to? Or do we rise up as one to bring awareness on said system and work to fight against and, hopefully, dismantle it in order to give our people access to the very best education, jobs, and way of life?
